It’s general saying that an image is worth thousand words. Well, I completely do agree with it. You might also be. The ones who are not, might be new to the virtual world of web. As a blogger, I know that how important it is to make the post informative. The insertion of images in the posts help me to make them informative and explanatory. I’ve never used any plugin for inserting videos in blog posts. I just copy the embedded code from youtube.com and place it in HTML editor 🙂
Yeah I too use embed code for my blog post Ammar (Example : , But I researched and found this plugins really useful with lots of features like, with those plugins we can use different Skins, Custom Playlists, Youtube Playlists, Audio Visualizer,, Displaying Watermarks, Video Ratings, video deep linking support, autoplay videos etc which is not possible with embed code only.
Hope now it’s clear to you why I have listed those Plugins.

Generally I prefer to embed the YouTube videos directly into my posts using the embed code provided by YouTube . I believe that it is useless to use a plugin for a functionality that can be done just by copying and pasting .

We can place the Watermark while making the video itself .

Wow this is a comprehensive list, I usually just embed videos into my blog posts when I want to include them. Having said that though I am going to have a look into these and see if I can install onto my site to improve the user experience.

I have never used video plugins in WordPress. I usually embed it with the help of scripts. I would like to have try at smart YouTube Pro.
You run a huge issue with Shortcode that must be considered, what if plugin is no longer being developed, supported or doesn’t work with future WordPress upgrade? Then you are stuck finding and replacing short code in every previous post. This is why I switched to using either Google iFrame embed code, or WordPress natively will auto translate the share link into a full post wide player for your blog by default with the last few versions.
I use Viewbix player when I need to customize the player/wrapper around YouTube and add actionable functionality to the player.
