After uploading a story, it will have a lifetime of 24 hours and then it will disappear on its own.

You can use a video from your mobile phone or else you can record a video using the camera of your mobile phone. And then you can share it with your story.

The new LinkedIn story feature is now available in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Netherlands, UAE, and US. So now you can also enjoy this feature along with your connections throughout the world.

Whatever the new features may be but people will always get attracted to the features which are close to their heart. Regional language is always very close to people. So LinkedIn has come up with localized stickers like Jugaad, India, Cricket, Chai-time, Yoga, and Auto Rickshaw. All these stickers have the flavors of India filled in it. So there is no doubt that people will find these stickers very entraining and also they will use them.

There is also a feature, which allows you to tag/mention the people on your stories. By using this feature, the people tagged people can individually able to react or reply to the story. The analytics and reports of every story you share are also available transparently to the user.

The new updates will include a dark mode, face-to-face video calls using Microsoft Teams, streamlined search experience, Blue Jeans, Zoom directly from a message thread of LinkedIn.

The LinkedIn INDIA’S Country manager shared some numbers which prove that LinkedIn platform usage keeps increasing. He stated that from March 2019 to March 2020, there is a 60% hike in content creation. And almost 55% hike in the conversation between the LinkedIn connections.

The above numbers prove why LinkedIn is being mostly preferred between the people in the job search and also in finding the best clients in business. For university students, LinkedIn is highly recommended to find the best internship opportunities and also to know more about their industries.

Steps to post your First Story

The new feature is available both on Android and iOS devices. Before you take your mobile to post your first story, make sure the LinkedIn application is updated to its latest version. If there is no latest version then update it to the latest version. Some people may not be able to find the new version, but you don’t have to panic here. Generally, updates roll out in a staggered manner, so you don’t have to worry now. You will get your updated version soon.

  • Once you have the updated version of your application on your phone, then open it and find the ‘+’ icon near your profile picture. If anyone of your connections has already posted their stories, then you can able to see them there.

  • After selecting the plus icon, you can select the image or video you want to share. Otherwise, you can use your phone’s camera to take a picture or record a video. But make sure that the video should only be 20 seconds long.
